John is an award-winning freelance photographer with more than 40 years of photography experience. He began his photography career at the age of 25 by studying under the mentorship of a newspaper sports photographer. In the early 1970's, John moved to Maryland where he continued developing his photographic expertise through formal coursework, attending seminars, and studying under the guidance on several well-known local photographers. His photographs have been widely published, are displayed in galleries and art shows and have won numerous awards.
Today, he has joined the digital revolution using high-end Nikon digital cameras in his work and specializes in photographing wildlife, nature, and maritime scenes of the Chesapeake Bay and mid-Atlantic areas. His photographic travels have taken him along the Atlantic seaboard from Key West to Maine and across the country as far as the Pacific Northwest.
In addition to his fine art photography, he also does work for individuals, corporations, government agencies, galleries and newspapers. His corporate and advertising photography have been featured in brochures, posters, annual reports, and in nationwide advertising and publicity campaigns.
John is also available to conduct seminars on wildlife photography techniques and equipment for camera clubs, birding clubs, and other interested organizations. He also leads instructional field trips in the mid-Atlantic region. Interested persons may contact him by e-mail or telephone (below).

Note on sizes
Not all photographs are proportioned for "standard" sizes. For
example, a square photograph ordered in the 8x10 size will be
8x8 while in the 11x14 size it will be 11x11.
Narrow photographs use the longest dimension for determining
the size. One that is 5x14 is priced as an 11x14.
Other sizes may be available upon request.
All of the photographs in the galleries are available as note cards. The note cards are 5"x7" and have a signed 4"x6" photograph affixed within an embossed border. These cards are suitable for framing. The price for note cards is $5.00 each plus 5% tax plus $1.00 shipping for each five cards.
